The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Thank you for your rapid reply. 70,000? Amazing. I was informed recently that there were about 8-10,000 "post offices/postmarks" of that era. I've barely made a dent with my paltry beginning. Thanks to your information I now have an actual document to look for, whereas before, I only had a memory of a handbook from the 70-80's as an example. Very very few American collectors in this part of the country who even have the slightest interest in my endeavors. I am glad I stumbled upon this web site, and the Society. Most appreciated.
