I am collecting Hindenberg Medallion stamps (issued from 1933-45) with different city/town/post office postmarks...Aachen to Zwickau, if you will, and have amassed over 2300 different city postmarks to date. My query: Is there such an item as a German Post office Handbook from the period listing all German post offices by city, to include occupied areas? Such would go a long way toward an attempt at completion of this postal project. Also, a mere listing of operating post offices during the period would suffice, if no handbook was produced. I recall such an handbook at the local Postamt in Munich, wherein all Bundespost post offices were listed alphabetically. Thank you. |
