Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I am collecting Hindenberg Medallion stamps (issued from 1933-45) with different city/town/post office postmarks...Aachen to Zwickau, if you will, and have amassed over 2300 different city postmarks to date. My query: Is there such an item as a German Post office Handbook from the period listing all German post offices by city, to include occupied areas? Such would go a long way toward an attempt at completion of this postal project. Also, a mere listing of operating post offices during the period would suffice, if no handbook was produced. I recall such an handbook at the local Postamt in Munich, wherein all Bundespost post offices were listed alphabetically. Thank you.
