Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Another way of using a computer for magnification is to scan the stamp/cover/illustration into e.g. your 'My Pictures' file using a decent resolution such as 600 dpi and then use the magnifying tab to enlarge ad-infinitum. If you've got a scanner, that costs nothing! I support Giles' idea of an article in Germania exploring the uses computers can be put to by philatelists -- too many of us are semi- (or il-)literate in these matters and need some tips.
