Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Thanks Nigel, I'll keep that in mind. I do have a few Hennig covers , which I'll keep. Its the usual arguement I suppose, does one collect purely 'real' mail or does one also collect philatelic mail (which, as you say, went through the postal system and is usually much 'nicer' as well). At the moment my collection is roughly half - half, especially my Third Reich collection. My earliest Hennig cover is from 1919, my latest from 1949.
