Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: In my collection I have several covers addressed to a Karl Hennig. I believe that he was a German stamp dealer. I would like to know a bit more about Herr Hennig. My earliest cover is a air mail cover dated 1919 with his address being in Weimar. I have a few from WWII, mostly Dienstpost and Feldpost items. these are adressed to Hamburg. Post war he turns up again with covers from the various German zones. All the covers are purely philatelic, I guess to sell on to his customers. Are these covers of interest and can anyone enlighten me more on Herr Karl Hennig who clearly loved stamps. Did he serve with the German Feldpost? Thanks.
