Message: | Hennig was a stamp dealer in various locations. At one time, I believe, in Erfurt, then in Hamburg, and later, after World War II, in the Dominican Republic. Large numbers of covers exist that are addressed to Hennig, usually at his location in Hamburg. Some collectors, including me, do not purchase philatelic covers, and, therefore, they exclude Hennig items from their collections. Some German auction firms realize that some collectors do not like Hennig covers, and, sometimes, they identify Hennig items in their item descriptions. There is a detailed article about Hennig covers that was pulished in the publications of the two Third Reich Study Group publications. I do not citations to these articles at hand. Benjamin R.
