Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Thank you Mike for the reply. If I recall rightly, you specialise in Ostafrika which is a truly interesting area, with so much to offer the specialist. I may be mad, but I was hoping to first collect the issues in mint condition for each colony,(only the yacht issues), then add the used copies for a more in depth study of the handstamps/cancels, although it looks thus so far I am doing both as I search around. I will probably have to admit that sometime in the future I will have to zero-in on a particular colony.
