Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hello Bryan, Nothing to do with 'non-white' countries! Your cover was not censored but examined for breach of currency im-/export regs. Most of the examples in my collection were to/from the USA, France etc. Censorship as such started at the beginning of September 1939, confusingly using the same labels as on your cover to start with due to lack of advance preparation. In such cases the postmark tying these labels was always a roller postmark of Berlin-Charlottenburg. Best wishes, Philip
