Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Buka is I believe the rarest of all postmarks in DNG if not in the whole of the German Colonies. From my own library I have traced images of 2 more covers and several postmarks on piece, including some described as forgeries. I have also found a reference to a registered letter and normal R Labels were issued to the office. I must congratulate the enquirer in his intention to write about Buka as material is extremely scarce and rarely appears on the market when it commands very high prices. I am sending copies of the 2 covers direct to the enquirer.
