Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Unfortunately your picture doesn't show up so I don't know how blue-looking your stamp is. According to Michel No. 8 the Marshall Is. 5Pf (bright) opal-green was only an overprint of German Empire Mi. 46c. The colour of Mi. 46c itself, however, is listed as (bright) opal-green [bluish-green](1891-1900). I infer therefore that the ink composition may have varied over the period. Furthermore stamp colours can change according to the way stamps have been stored over time, and the make-up of both the ink and paper used to print them. Your stamp has had over a 100 years to mature ! Hope this helps - Giles du Boulay
