The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I just recently purchased this stamp in which it was the only blue colored issue of the same denomination as its green colored counterparts. According to Michel, this stamp should be only in green. Is this a possible forgery or an unknown variety. I checked the Michel specialized catalog and there is a Michel 46c in Deutsches Reich general issues that is a blaulichgrun color that could have been over printed for this colony. Enclosed is a picture. Any help in identifying what I have. Only paid $2.00 for it. Thanks, Walter
