Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hans Help is at hand - although not necessarily all 'online'. In 2007 Michel published their Germany Specialised catalogue in an English version. It covers most aspects of German philately up to 1945 but not the States and one or two other areas. The Colonies are included. The catalogue costs £44.95, but the Society can supply it as well as a large range of other catalogues, albums and accessories at 20% discount + postage to its members. Furthermore there have been a number of articles about the Colonies in our journal 'Germania' over the years, back issues of which may be available at modest cost. We also have two monographs on aspects of German East Africa and South West Africa, and we are associated with the American German Colonies Collectors Group. Access to all this becomes available by joining the Society, details of which can be found on the website. Regards Giles du Boulay, Chairman.
