The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I have been unsuccesfull in finding an online infomation resource iro the German Colonies. problem Ive got is that SG provides limited info ,in fact excludes the watermarked issues and only provides Used and unused values. I have a Michel catalogue but its date 2001 and have difficulty understanding the finer points in german - Very frustrating! The links from the Philatelic Database iro colonies finds no websites - only email addresses of study groups. Surely for such a intriging and facinating section of German Philatelic history somebody must know of a site where values and the more intricate information and if possible even sales of the colony stamps are available !
