Message: | As a standard distant rate cover 1st weight stage it would be worth around £1, I would suggest asking for £3-4. Also check other covers you have using these stamps (1st Kontrollrat issue) for February 1946 dates, these are worth considerably more. However if they bear cancels from the American or British zones in this period they will be forged/backdated cancellations. All of the February dates so far discovered are from the Soviet zone, but even from here many are philatelic in their origin, though not always obviously so. regards Nigel | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
