Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: The bisecting of stamps post 1945 was prohibited by the Postal Administration, many instances are recorded, of those that slipped through, like yours, and others that bear a blue crayon marking surrounding the offending item, and with postage due being charged. The notion that if not in Michel it doesn't exist is often erroneous. Like all catalogues it should be used as a guide and not the Bible. regards Nigel
