Message: | Hello Alexios Your friend from Denmark is right ! The Michel Postgebühren-Handbuch Deutschland gives the following: ---The applicable foreign letter rate from 1.8.1927 for a letter weighing up to 20g was 25Pf - for each subsequent 20g weight step - add 15Pf - so if the letter did weigh between 60g and 80g the postage would have been 70Pf. ---The foreign express letter fee from the same date was 50Pf irrespective of weight. ---The applicable European airmail fee from 1928 was 20Pf per 20g thus 80Pf for a letter weighing between 60g & 80g. ---Total 2 Marks (not DM) as franked. A very nice cover ! Regards Giles du Boulay Chairman Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society | ||||||||||||||||||||
