The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I collect overland mail, i.e., mail carried across Egypt between Alexandria and Suez. I have a number of covers to or from the various German States dating from 1850s to 1870s and I am trying to find the appropriate postal rate tables that would permit me to interpret the German rates. I would be grateful if someone could point me to a good source of German States postal rate information during this period?
