The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Title: Brunswick: Scott #3--or #11?

Message: Hello. I have an above-average example of what should be Brunswick #3, because all my efforts have failed to detect a watermark. However, its color is a nice, rich rosy red, and can't be confused with the vermilion (or orange-brown, in some descriptions)that should characterize #3. So it should be #11, right? But there's no discernable wmk. Hence, I'm buffaloed. Does anyone know if there is a color variety for #3 in rose or carmine? Was #3 counterfeited or forged in rose or carmine? Sorry, I don't have an image at this time but will try to arrange for one if there's any merit to my query. Thanks to one and all for any insight.
