Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Our (Austrian) information is that following the Anschluss, a local postage rate was introduced in the former Austria from 4 April 1939, and rates became: Local postcard 5Rpf, inland postcard 6Rpf Lowest-weight printed matter 2Rpf. On 1 August the 10-gram printed matter step was abolished, leaving the 20 gram step. So the above rates became: Local postcard 5Rpf, inland postcard 6Rpf Lowest-weight printed matter 3Rpf. My questions are (a) does anyone disagree with the above; (b) did the second set of rates remain valid until the end of the war?
