Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hi Giles, whilst I don't intialy disagree with you; a web search under Fredersdorf postmarks, has thrown up several examples for sale on Ebay, and another for sale on www.stu1967.co.uk Plus a question was raised on stampborad.com, some while ago and answered by Jay Corrigan as per the' hopefully attached under the section The Russians in Germany Stamps 1945-49 (Soviet Zone) wherin he states :- There were two types of this postmark. The first has "b. BERLIN" 21 mm long and was in use from 8.45 to 3.47. The second has it 17 mm long and was used from 4.47 to 1.49. There is also a third type with a's instead of *'s, used 1.46 to 5.46. The example I have seems to e the 1st 21mm b BERLIN
