Message: | Hi Giles, whilst I don't intialy disagree with you; a web search under Fredersdorf postmarks, has thrown up several examples for sale on Ebay, and another for sale on www.stu1967.co.uk Plus a question was raised on stampborad.com, some while ago and answered by Jay Corrigan as per the' hopefully attached under the section The Russians in Germany Stamps 1945-49 (Soviet Zone) wherin he states :- There were two types of this postmark. The first has "b. BERLIN" 21 mm long and was in use from 8.45 to 3.47. The second has it 17 mm long and was used from 4.47 to 1.49. There is also a third type with a's instead of *'s, used 1.46 to 5.46. The example I have seems to e the 1st 21mm b BERLIN | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
