Message: | Thanks Giles for your answer. The Yokohama postmark is not cut-off. In a closer view the rest of the postmark can be seen. I've attached a bigger image showing it. I agree with you that those stamps doesn't seem to be related with the sender nor the addressee. It may be, as you said, some sort of arrangement between Germany and Japan, or some transit fee. I saw philabooks has the book you mentioned, so I'll order it and let's see. And I will try to look for other postcards or letters sent from other countries and with transit in Japan to see if there are other cases with japanese stamps affixed.
