Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Ben - I had always understood 'Bestellt' to mean 'delivered' as you say, but then in answering Bill's query I had a moment of doubt. Not wanting to imply to him that the datestamp signified that the item was at that point actually 'delivered' to the end addressee, but was still in transit I opted for 'forwarded'. I think in this context 'delivered from' another PO, 'forwarded from' or even 'received from' more or less amount to the same thing. Have I misunderstood ? Cheers, Giles
