Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I have to differ on this response. Jena 1 was located on Engelplatz, but Jena 2, which was a branch of Jena 1, was located at Buergelsche Strasse 27. The source of this information is page 457 of the Reichspost, Ortsverzeichnis I, issued in May 1944. The annual Ortsverzeichnis I was an annual list of post offices in Germany; Ortsverzeichnis II was a shorter listing that identified major post offices abroad. Ben Beede
