Message: | I have to differ on this response. Jena 1 was located on Engelplatz, but Jena 2, which was a branch of Jena 1, was located at Buergelsche Strasse 27. The source of this information is page 457 of the Reichspost, Ortsverzeichnis I, issued in May 1944. The annual Ortsverzeichnis I was an annual list of post offices in Germany; Ortsverzeichnis II was a shorter listing that identified major post offices abroad.
