Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hello Bob The comprehensive work on MSP is by Crüsemann which we published in English translation in serialised form in Germania from 1981-3. We have also bound the whole lot into a book available for £10 UK post paid (see publications page in Germania). The MSPs are listed numerically, giving details of the ships, tour numbers, periods of use etc. The ships are also listed alphabetically giving details of deployment. Ther is also substantial information on the operation of the MSP system. Please note however that the Crüsemann handbook goes up to the beginning of WW1. The various ships on which MSP52 was deployed are given up to 1914, but there is a note that later it was carried by SS Möwe but not the SS Mòwe ! Best wishes Giles
