Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: The lawyer's old and tried question, cui bono? needs to apply throughout. The prices for properly expertised stamps are solid, and this now means a certificate rather than a signature. The price of a certificate is roughly 4% of Michel, plus 20 Euros for an Attest, or 5 for a Befund. Why then sell something for, say, 400 euros, when you could pay 100 for a certificate and sell it for a thousand? Anything underpriced is either fake, or the seller is robbing himself to enrich the purchaser. We know which is more likely.
