Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Whole area of expertisation marks is interesting. I recently sent two sets to Herr Schlegel. I don't expect them back for a while, but I notice that he still usually just signs, and charges 20euros extra for a cert. Does anyone now just trust marks? It seems that some do - eg peschl signed items still sell well on e-bay, and my German dealer friend says he has few problems with them. Does anyone have a view on what can be trusted, and how far?
