Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hi Nigel,Thanks for your reply. Just to clear up any confusion I am 100% certain that the postmark is for NEUSTADT BEI COBURG as illustrated in Peter Feusers handbook under TT number 347. Feuser states that the cuurency in use in this town was the Groschen although Coburg is listred as using the Kreuzer. The stamp bearing the PM. is a copy of Mi.27b ie a Kteuzer value. Do you think that the listing in Feuser´s handbook as Gr is an error and in fact the Kreuzer was used here. Best regards Norman
