Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Firstly I would like to thank Philip for his reply to my last query. My latest query is can anybody confirm that the Groschen was used in Neustadt bei Coburg as Feuser states although it appears that the Kreuzer was being used in Coburg and also in Sonneberg (close to Neustadt) The reason for this query is that I have a copy of Mi.27 with the Neustadt PM. so is it a Kreuzer stamp being used in a Groschen area or has Feuser made an error? My last query is with a copy of Mi.26 with a Ubergangs-Stempel of Diessen 5/6/74. From one of my listings it appears to be a T&T Landpost. Does anybody know where Diessen is or was and what currency unit was being used? Mant thanks Norman
