Message: | Recorded letters would have been entered in the book, and a copy of the Proof of Posting handed to the sender. These forms can be found from time to time. Although you state the cancel is faint most scanning programmes permit you to alter colours such that faint marks etc. can be "exagerated". 61/2N or 6½N simply means 6.30pm.
