Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Theresienstadt stamp: The piece you illustrate is certainly a forgery; the stamp was extensively frged after the war. To distinguish it from the genuine, the lines forming the cloud at top right are perfect and continuous in genuine, broken in forgeries. The little church in the background has a triangular spire; in genuine stamps this triangle is hollow, in forgeries it is a solid block of colour. Hope this helps. I.N.
