Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Jürgen Kraft who runs the site is extremely knowledgable, and he speaks English. Registration to the site is free. Other German Philatelic sites you may like to condider registering on are; http://www.philaforum.com/briefmarken/forum/index.php and http://www.bdph.de/forum/index.php In all instances the above are free, all have areas for non-German speakers. Some 15-20 members on each site speak English. With regard to your recent purchase you may find you have been lucky, but keep an open mind. regards Nigel
