The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
Michel says that the Ludwig III 15pf carmine Stamp was issued in March 1920. Ludwig had been sent on his way in 1918 and the remains Ludwig Stamps were overprinted Freistaat Bayern and others.in 1919. Is 1920 then correct?
Michel has only one number for the 15pf - 115. My 1968 catalogue has 115a for 1916 and 115b for 1920. My 2023 catalogue does not differentiate it by a suffix, just says shades.
SG and Scott have it as separate numbers: SG 179 and 180; Scott 100 and 101. Any suggestions about the 1920 issue date.
