Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I got these at a local stamp fair at the weekend, and bought them simply because I had never seen them before. I thought Google would provide the answer, but there’s only one return, on Philaseiten, which has several suggestions, none conclusive. These opinions range from bogus, fakes and/or someone just messing about, to space fillers for pre-printed albums. None of these seem to satisfactorily explain what these are. They must have been produced up to the post inflation period, as the overprinted stamps include some inflation issues, and the values are given in rentenpfennigs. They appear to have had a purpose as, in addition to the overprinted stamps, they printed up blank labels for a handstamp or manuscript addition. Anyone got any ideas?
