The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
Michel lists covers with MiNr9 and MiNr 25 as single frankings ¨in den eigenen Landzustellbezirk in Baden vor dem 1.5.1873¨ My problem is that according to Feuser Baden never used the year date on the postmarks so how do I tell which year the letter was posted? And how do expertisers tell if there is no enclosed letter or other evidence showing the year.
