Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear Mr May I am sorry you have had difficulties attaching the picture to your enquiry on the message board and thank you for sending it directly via the contact form. The picture at 1MB is really too large for the message board. Anyway, I have checked both the Michel specialised catalogue and the old Schantl Plattenfehler catalogue and there is no similar constant plate fault listed for that stamp. I think the little spot of ink above the 'i' of Seid is just a minor transient printing fault rather than a plate fault. Regards Giles du Boulay Chairman Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
