Message: | It seems from what you say that you may already have, or have access to, the Crüsemann Deutsche Marine-Schiffspost handbooks covering the period 1914-1919. If not, do by all means e-mail me direct, and I can send you the text concerning both SMS Vaterland (MSP no. 10) and SMS Otter (MSP No. 74). I think your 1.1.1916 postcard bearing an indecipherable MSP number is unlikely to have come from SMS Otter as Crüsemann on p.91 states that from August 1914 there were no more strikes of this MSP no.
