Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear Mr Turner - the Michel Deutschland Spezial catalogue carries a warning regarding the 1920 German and Bavarian stamps overprinted for the Saar territory that any of them priced at over 5 Euros must be BPP-expertised in order to guarantee the overprint, due to the fact that there are many forgeries.It appears that the two stamps you have were once submitted for expertisation and duly came back marked 'Aufdruck falsche' as the overprints are forgeries.
