Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear Frank I am sure someone from the Czech Society will be able to pinpoint the village of Linden or Lipa, which seems to me to be very close to Deutsch Brod or Nemecky Brod about 60 miles SW of Prague. Nem. Brod was renamed Havlickuv Brod after the war. (I have omitted the various accents here in the words Nemecky and Havlickuv). Hope this helps a bit. Regards Giles
