Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hi Anatoly Good to see you using the message board and thanks for your help in setting it up. According to the Bochmann catalogue, your Warnemünde cancel is very common. It was used from 1924 to 1937, and then with slightly altered lettering on to 1943. The wording is "WARNEMÜNDE * Ostseebad/ i. Mecklenburg/ * Offene See - 500m. Mole - Herrlicher Sandstrand *". It will be found most commonly on holiday postcards. Best wishes Giles
