Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear Ken, The set of handbooks "Katalog der deutschen Gelegenheitsstempel", by Julius Bochmann covers 99% of the postmarks of the Third Reich, listing them all and illustrating many. It was produced in the 1950s and '60s but can still be ordered from Germany. If you get in touch with Vera Trinder & Co in London they will advise you about price and will proably be able to order it for you. It runs to some 22 booklets (alphabetically arranged by town) and a complete set could be expensive. There are no postcard catalogues as such but a number of books, such the three produced by Francis Catella in France do illustrate a large number of them. These too should be obtainable via Vera Trinder. I run the Society's Third Reich Study Group and, if you think I can be of further help drop me an E-mail.
