Message: Dear Colin According to James Van der Linden in his "Catalogue des Marques de Passage" pub. 1993, Soluphil (& supplement publ 1998)B.O.C. stands for Bayerisch-Oesterreichische Correspondenz. There are several types of this mark applied on departure by various offices in Bavaria from 1842. The Feuser catalogue confirms this information. Hope this helps Giles du Boulay Chairman, Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
