The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I am a stamp collector in the USA (APS member #233554), and have this mint (possibly never hinged) partial sheet of overprinted-shifted Upper Silesia Michel Number 10 that I would like to trade for other items. It appears to have many varieties. My numbers on the varieties may be a bit off, but I counted 40x Michel 10 XIV ("Pf." above instead of below "5", top 4 rows), of which one is also Michel 10VII (without dot after "Pf., row 4, column 5), and which 4 others are Michel 10XV (high "H", a flaw of the underlying stamp where the hatching above the "20" is broken", column 9), as well as unlisted varieties of the bottom row (10x "Pf." without "5") of which one is also the "high H" variety in column 9. Also, there may be an unlisted variety similar to 11XVII (large blue color spot under "2" of "20", row 2, column 4). There's also some color spots near the 20 on the stamp in row 5, column 2, but I did not notice a similar listed variety. Near as I can tell, there may be some value in the partial sheet, with the varieties, the multiple overprint types present (Ia, IIIa, IIIb, IIIAa, IVa, IVb), as well as Michel-listed vertical and horizontal pairs and the printing numbers. I would be interested in trading for used stamps, but I am open to suggestions.
