Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I have an envelop with a kidney cancellation stamp from around 1831 from Bromberg to Neustadt Eberswalde. The sender was the government of the Bromberg district, sent on 12/02 the receiver the state police in Eberswalde. The receiving stamp is a circle containing the letter N, number 1 and the date 15/02. Which private postal service handled al mail on this route, was it stage coach or horseback, or did official mail travel using the government's own postal service? Thank you for your help. Richard Murray
