The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
Help for a German collecting friend please who does not have internet connection (I ama Netherlads and Belgium collector)
My friend has asked me about the colour(s) of the fine used copy of SG 3279 attached. As can be seen it it clearly not a case of a 'missing colour' or of an incorrect colour as everything appears different My view was that it had simply faded in sunlight but as my friend points out surely the colours would simply be fadrd as opposed to changed Any advice or opinion would be welcomed. Thank you
