The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I collect Canadian PS with an interest in the German POWs held in the Canadian Camps. I am trying to find info on the two following officers both are Kapitänleutnant W Kolb a POW in Camp 30 in August 1943 and Albert Peinmann who had been returned to the UK by April 1946 I thought that they may have been U-boat commanders but they are not listed on https://uboat.net/men/commanders/k.htm or so far as I can find so far on http://www.ubootarchiv.de I know POWs could be promoted in captivity so when they were captured they could have been Oberleutnant zur See. Can anyone suggest another online source re German Naval POWs especially officers. I would have thought that not many naval officers who did serve on U-boats would have been caputred before mid 1943. John
