Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear All, I'm considering whether to join at the moment, but in the meantime would appreciate thoughts on a puzzle. I have a standard-looking 3kr rose Baden postal stationery envelope postmarked 1867, but with the attached klappenstempel (embossed mark on the flap). The top word appears to be 'BAHNWOHL' and the bottom is 'Arlen' - a small town near to Singen, where it was posted. I can't read the middle part, unfortunately. I've been unable to find anything in Michel relating to this, and have drawn a blank online. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Joe
