The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I would be grateful for any information on two items of currency apparently used in German-speaking territories in the late 18th century. They are both mentioned in a Yiddish play published in the 1790s in Berlin. The first item is peim (or paym, or peym, or something similar; it's impossible to tell the Latin spelling from the Yiddish); the line in which it's written reads, "I need one more kreuzer—-it came to fourteen paym and two kreuzers." The second is a Frederick; that line (spoken by a man visiting a brothel) reads, "Today I want to spend a few Fredericks." Thanks very much for any assistance you might be able to offer!
