The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

 

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Third Reich Study Group

The TRSG has been compiling, as an ongoing project, the German Third Reich stamps (not including Gen. Gov., B. und M., Danzig or other occupied territories) shown on special decorative sheets, commemorating various events (e.g. Day of the Stamp, Hitler's birthday, etc.). It is not known how many Souvenir Sheets were produced between 1933-45, but each year members report any new discoveries and the compilation now exceeds some 600 sheets. CDs are made available with images shown in colour where possible.

A new CD is also available of all the TRSG News Sheets edited by John Rawlings. These number an amazing 167 issues from May 1974 to December 2016. 42 years of dedicated work compiling these News Sheets for the collector and philatelic student.
CDs of the Souvenir Sheets are available at £10 + p&p each.
