The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
CONTACT PAGE
Currently all messages go to one central point and are initially dealt with by the Chairman who redirects them to Society Officers as appropriate or endeavours to reply to them fully and speedily himself.
Society Officers are all volunteers who are always pleased to hear from, or to try to help, both members and non-members of the Society alike on matters relating to German philately or the Society generally.
The Society cannot, however, offer detailed valuations of philatelic material. Members, or at times their spouses, may nevertheless be able to obtain useful guidance within the Society when faced with the necessity of selling their collections.
The Society cannot act as a resource to non-members with material for sale seeking to obtain identifications, catalogue values, translations, purchasers etc. simply for the purposes of such sale.
