Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Perfins can be tricky to identify even with the ARGE Perfin catalogue because often 2 or more groups used the same one. Ideally you need at least a clear postmark and preferably a cover with the group/company name. And the ARGE regularly report on new ones in their quarterly magazine. Your one looks like catalogue ref. 4-039-2 which was used by Kronprinz AG, a metal works based in Ohligs, Solingen. Earliest known use identified in the catalogue was 1914 and latest recorded use 1927.Kind Regards Brian
